CIE Peer Review Reports

The peer reviews of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service's influential science include external reviews conducted through the Center of Independent Experts (CIE) to strengthen science quality assurance.  The National Standard 2 (NS2) guidelines state that peer review is important in the determination of best scientific information available for the conservation and management measures to ensure sustainability of our Nation’s living marine resources.  To ensure compliance with NS2 guidelines, the CIE peer review reports have been made publicly available on this webpage.
