SAMPLING METADATA

Sampling and Processing Summary
Zooplankton biomass was sampled via two concurrent Gulf V high-speed plankton samplers (mouth diameter = 40cm) sampling obliquely at 0-15m and 18-33m depth ranges. This depths were selected to insure sampling through the entire water layer above the thermocline (which varies from 8 to 30 meters depth).

Mesh netting was a "0.33 mm monel wire with 30 meshes per inch (~12 meshes/cm) providing an aperature of 0.52 mm".
