Recent U.S. and Korea Collaborations 

1. One MIFAFF staff member, Mr. Ko Kyungman, was trained at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center from December 2009 - Dec 2012. There he worked on research and fisheries management procedures in collaboration with NOAA scientists.

2.  A MIFAFF staff member from the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute, Mr. Lin YoungHoon, is undergoing a 1 1/2 year training program at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center on research and fisheries management procedures. His training will end in June 2013.

3. Two Korean scientists, Dr. Lee JaeBong and a colleague, from the National Fisheries Research Development Institute were trained on sampling procedures in the Fisheries Observer Program. They received training at the regional office of NMFS in Hawaii during December 2010.
