Southwest Fisheries Science Center

The Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) is a research branch of NOAA Fisheries and conducts marine biological, economic and oceanographic research on living marine resources and their environment. Climate-related changes in the Southwest region include increasing sea surface temperatures, rising sea levels, and changes in precipitation patterns. The SWFSC conducts a variety of climate-related science activities including research on the impacts of environmental variability and climate change on marine ecosystems, fish stocks, and fisheries.
