ST6 Current Applications: Do Not Permit (DNP)

The DO NOT PERMIT (DNP) dataset provides a national registry of U.S. vessels that can no longer be permitted. Regional permit offices have the option to link their existing applications to the DNP database to prevent future permitting of the 101 listed vessels. The listed vessels have all been bought out by NMFS and can no longer work as a commercial fishing vessel. Future applications may also include temporary suspension of fishing rights.

The DNP web-based application currently in development will allow qualified users the ability to input information on prohibited vessels, to query the registry for particular vessels, and to view all listed vessels. The application will be developed using JSP technology, making use of Oracle Jdeveloper 9.0.3 as the development environment.
