Example of a Geographic Point selection latitude = +42.5, longitude = -68.5, The green circle above is for map highlighting purposes only. The red square within this circle shows the size of a 1/2-degree ECHO square.

Latitude ( negative = southern hemisphere ) Longitude ( negative = western hemisphere ) Optional Parameters: Minimum depth (def=0):   Maximum depth (def=9999):  Increase Radius:   This increases the points radius "x" 1/2-degrees around the center point.

Example of a Geographic Line selection Starting latitude = +43, starting longitude = -70, ending latitude = +40, ending longitude = -65 Each green circle represents 1/2-degree ECHO cells which will be used in the transect preparation.

Line's Western-most Point This is the left most point of the line. Western-most Latitude ( negative = southern hemisphere ) Western-most Longitude ( negative = western hemisphere ) Line's Eastern-most Point This is the right most point of the line. Example of a Geographic Box selection Northern edge = +51.0, southern edge = +35.0, western edge = -76.5.0, eastern edge = -57. In this example, "Maximum depth" was set to 1000 meters, excluding the deeper off-shelf area indicated with red dots, and "box padding" was set to "1" (1/2 degree edge). General Area parameters: Atlantic Ocean: -100(W) to 25(E) longitude Pacific Ocean: 100 (E) to -65(W) longitude Indian Ocean: 25(E) to 120(E) longitude
