Fisheries Information Networks (FINS) and other Partners
Fisheries information networks (FINs) are regional co-operative state-federal programs to design, implement and conduct marine fisheries statistics data collection programs and to integrate those data into a single data management system that will meet the needs of fishery managers, scientist, and fishermen.
Western Pacific Fisheries Information Network (WPFIN)
The Western Pacific Fisheries Information Network (WPacFIN) program provides access to best available fisheries data from the Western Pacific Region to support fisheries management in that region.
Recreational Fisheries (RecFIN)
Established in 1992, the Recreational Fishery Information Network is designed to integrate state and federal marine recreational fishery sampling efforts into a single database to provide important biological, social, and economic data for Pacific coast recreational fishery biologists, managers and anglers.
Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC)
The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission was formed by the 15 Atlantic coast states in 1942 in recognition that fish do not adhere to political boundaries. The Commission serves as a deliberative body, coordinating the conservation and management of the states shared near shore fishery resources - marine, shell, and anadromous - for sustainable use.
Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission (GSMFC)
The Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission (GSMFC) is an organization of the five states (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida), whose coastal waters are the Gulf of Mexico. This compact, authorized under Public Law 81-66, was signed by the representatives of the Governors of the five Gulf States on July 16, 1949, at Mobile, Alabama. It has as its principal objective the conservation, development, and full utilization of the fishery resources of the Gulf of Mexico, to provide food, employment, income, and recreation to the people of these United States.
Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC)
PSMFC promotes and supports policies and actions to conserve, develop, and manage our fishery resources in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.
Atlantic Coastal Cooperative Statistics Program (ACCSP)
The ACCSP is a cooperative state-federal program to design, implement, and conduct marine fisheries statistics data collection programs and to integrate those data into a single data management system that will meet the needs of fishery managers, scientists and fisherman.
The Fisheries Information Network (GulfFIN)
The GulfFIN is a state-federal cooperative program to collect, manage, and disseminate statistical data and information on commercial and recreational fisheries of the Southeast Region. The FIN is designed to provide sound scientific information on catch, effort, and participation that managers need to prudently manage the marine fisheries resources in the Region.
