The upwelling region of the Gulf of Guinea extends from the coast of Cote d'Ivoire to Benin. Zooplankton biomass was sampled monthly or fortnightly, along a transect off the coast of Ghana, by the Marine Fisheries Research Division - Ghana (MFRD). Five Stations (Figure 1) were sampled with an International Cooperative Investigations of the Tropical Atlantic (ICITA) net, with a mesh size of 330 µm and a ring diameter of one meter.
